Mr. Malay Pit is a visionary leader dedicated to transforming rural India through skill development, education, and employment generation. Since launching his first skill centre in 2004 in West Bengal, he has established over 100+ Skill centres across 9 states, training more than 10 lakh individuals in job-ready skills.

Driven by his passion for teaching and upliftment, Mr. Pit expanded his mission to the education sector, founding 50+ institutions across West Bengal. These include B.Ed. colleges, ITIs, Polytechnics, MBBS colleges, Paramedical and Nursing colleges, all focused on producing future-ready professionals.

His flagship projects—Santiniketan Medical College & Hospital and Tripura Santiniketan Medical College—exemplify his commitment to advancing medical education and rural healthcare in India.

ESTABLISHING PLACEMENT CENTRES

Training labourers and transforming them into skilled workers were his first step in skill development. The scale of his work is extraordinary. Till now, he has helped thousands of workers transform from labourers to skilled individuals and gain placement to renowned companies like L&T, JBM, and Skipup. In fact, he has personally helped place over 10,000 individuals in L&T alone. His training centers focus on giving people the skills they need to get hired and thrive in the job market. He stays in touch with different organizations, receiving queries regarding workforce requirements and sending the right talent their way.

HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO HEALTH SECTOR DEVELOPMENT THROUGH ESTABLISHING TWO MEDICAL COLLEGE

Advancing Healthcare & Medical Education-Pioneering Medical Colleges

• Founded in 2020 in Bolpur, West Bengal, Santiniketan Medical College & Hospital is India’s first medical college under a public-private partnership model approved by the National Medical Commission. With 1,100 beds and state-of-the-art facilities, the college admits 150 students annually, focusing on practical training, public health, and community service.
Through its charitable wing, Shantiniketan Medical Hospital, the institution provides OPD consultations at just ₹10 and offers up to 62.5% discounts on medicines for underprivileged patients, making quality healthcare accessible to all.
• In 2024-25, he established Tripura Santiniketan Medical College in Agartala, Tripura. The college partners with Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital, a government multi-specialty facility, to offer quality education and practical clinical exposure. He oversees a 400-bed nursing home and a robust educational ecosystem powered by 5,000 staff. His initiatives also include e-health services, telemedicine, and skill development programs, aiming to uplift communities across West Bengal and beyond.
Earned entry in India Book of Records (2025) for admitting students from 22 different states in a single session, demonstrating Pan-India appeal and diversity best practices.

Tele-Medicine & Health Access Initiatives

1. Telemedicine Platform
Launched over 8 years ago, www.edocsmc.in is a free, global telemedicine initiative connecting patients with top medical specialists via virtual health camps on Google Meet. The platform breaks down geographical and financial barriers, offering inclusive healthcare access to underserved communities around the world.
2. Free Health Cards for Families
To reduce healthcare costs and improve access, around 1,000 families have received free health cards. These cards allow easier access to medical services without the burden of long travel or high expenses.
3. Health Hub Community
A centralized health information platform built on social media, especially Facebook. This hub connects doctors, professionals, and institutions globally, sharing updates on medical breakthroughs, disease trends, and treatment innovations. It serves as a reliable, real-time resource for both the public and healthcare community.

DRIVING AGRICULTURAL GROWTH & RURAL EMPOWERMENT

Established with a visionary mission, the university integrates advanced technologies such as telemedicine, virtual reality, and tele-surgery into medical education—bringing world-class healthcare training to rural India. Approved by the Indian Medical Council, it offers postgraduate medical, paramedical, nursing, and allied health programs.

In agriculture, the university equips students with modern tools to promote sustainable farming and ensure food security.  Women Entrepreneurship: Through the Strive Project (in collaboration with the World Bank and the State Government), over 300+ women aged 18–30 have been trained and transformed into successful entrepreneurs.

  • Digital Empowerment: He founded the Santiniketan SD Market, an Amazon-style e-commerce platform allowing women to showcase and sell their products (e.g., sarees, handicrafts, food items) online, helping over 5000 women gain digital visibility—all training is provided free of cost.
  • Traditional & Modern Skills: Under SFURTI, women are trained in sewing, stitching, leather crafting, mushroom cultivation, and brass metal work—turning local resources into thriving businesses.
  • Healthcare & Rural Development: His Telemedicine initiative equips MBBS students with practical rural experience and specialized training, bridging the healthcare gap in underserved areas.

 Many women now earn ₹6000 to ₹30000 per month, gaining not just skills—but sustainable livelihoods and confidence.

EMPLOYMENT GENERATION INITIATIVES
