On the occasion of International Yoga Day 2025, Tripura Santiniketan Medical College (TSMC) embraced the spirit of wellness, unity, and humanity through a day of meaningful activities on our campus.

As the Chairman of Tripura Santiniketan Medical College, I had the honour of inaugurating the day’s events with a serene Yoga session in the early morning, where faculty members, students, and staff participated with great enthusiasm. This collective practice of Yoga brought a sense of inner peace, focus, and health awareness among all of us — the very essence of what Yoga stands for.

What made the day even more impactful was our voluntary blood donation camp. I am proud to share that 74 individuals, including myself, came forward to donate blood. This included our Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Nath, faculty members, medical students, and staff. Each donor reflected the true spirit of service and compassion.

In my address to the gathering, I emphasized the significance of Yoga in our daily lives — not just as a physical practice but as a philosophy of balance, discipline, and mindfulness. I also encouraged everyone to adopt a healthy lifestyle and continue contributing to society in meaningful ways. Donating blood is one such act that saves lives, and I am glad that our TSMC family has shown such incredible commitment.

Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Nath, our respected Principal and a renowned MD in Pathology, also spoke on the occasion, underlining the scientific and holistic benefits of Yoga, especially for medical professionals and students who often face stress and pressure in their academic journey.

The event concluded with a message of harmony, health, and hope — the three core values that Yoga promotes. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to every student, faculty member, and donor who made this day memorable. Your presence and participation truly reflect the noble values of our institution.

Let us continue to walk the path of health, knowledge, and service — together.
